This is a place where the day’s catch and traditional recipes take center stage, attracting both locals and visitors looking to settle in for a relaxed lunch or a convivial dinner by the sea.

The atmosphere here is straightforward and welcoming, with a balance between casual comfort and attentive service. It’s common to find a mix of families, couples, and groups of friends enjoying generous plates of paella, seafood, and grilled meats. The setting feels familiar without being formal, making it a practical choice for anyone wanting to enjoy hearty Spanish dishes without fuss.

Taberna Manila’s menu leans into classic favorites that work well for sharing and savoring with a glass of local wine—items like Paella Mixta, steamed mussels, and the signature Huevos Rotos stand out as reliable options. Portions tend to be generous, and there’s a good selection for diners with dietary considerations, such as coeliac disease, which adds to its appeal for diverse groups.

Service has varied slightly according to some visitors, with mostly positive notes on attentiveness and a few instances where the vibe shifted due to staff interactions. Overall, the team balances a typically Spanish relaxed pace with genuine warmth, which helps sustain a comfortable rhythm in the room.

Given its location near the beach, many guests stop in after a day of exploring or soaking up the sun. Late afternoons to early evenings are particularly pleasant times to visit, allowing for a leisurely meal alongside the buzz of coastal life. Fresher, lighter dishes like the varied salads and grilled cuttlefish complement the warmer months, while richer stews and rice dishes fit well with cooler evenings.

In short, Taberna Manila offers a straightforward, approachable take on Spanish classics that suits travelers seeking a straightforward local dining experience with enough variety to please most palates. It’s the kind of place where you’ll witness genuine Spanish rhythm in mealtime, paired with the kind of honest cooking that draws a steady crowd of locals and tourists alike.

Perfect location, tasty foods, nice staff - anything else? Two days later, on the third day, the young waiter came and ruined everything. Five stars remain.

Stumbled apon this place on my walk, yesterday morning. From start to finish everything was impeccable. We were here for a couple of hours left and even came back. We ate Croquettes, Jamon & Cheese, Patatas Bravas and then for tea, Paella. I just want to say a big thank you to Seve. Food 10/10. From start to finish he made us feel super welcome. Fantastic service and a great atmosphere. I will come back here again & again. I recommend anybody to come here. It certainly will not disappoint. Fantastic establishment and Seve is a credit to the place!!
